Hello, I am Chris Hatton, the human face of 'DVD to the Rescue'! I am a lifelong enthusiast of digital media, design and animation and come to offer you my services after performing numerous tape to DVD conversions for friends and family.
By day I am a Digital Media Author for a major production house in London so you can be assured that my technical knowledge is up-to-date and I will produce the best conversion possible given the quality of the source material (your tapes). My work prior to this included designing motion 3D graphics for on-air TV commercials. I use specialised hardware and software to encode the analog signal from older tape formats into digital DVD format (MPEG2). This means that you will get a better quality conversion than you would by using a VHS player connected directly to a domestic DVD recorder. My experience also means that, with your DVD, the sky's the limit! I can re-edit your video to your specifications, add personalised menus taken from still frames or photographs, insert 'chapter points' so you can jump straight to your favourite scenes and much more.
